Emergency Cancellations and Closings
In the event of severe weather conditions and warnings, church offices and events may be closed and cancelled. Tune in to WCSG 91.3 FM, WOOD 1300 AM, 105.7FM, WOOD TV Channel 8, or WZZM TV Channel 13 for reported cancellations. Closing of Rockford Public Schools DOES NOT necessarily mean that Wednesday evening events and activities are cancelled. Decisions to close or cancel will be made and broadcast prior to 4pm.

Women's Ministry



Mission Statement: To lead women to know who they are in Christ (Ephesians 1:18,19), to experience God’s deep love for them (Ephesians 3:16-21), and to live a life worthy of the calling they have received (Ephesians 4:1).

Ministry Opportunities



Fall and Spring Retreats – A weekend of spiritual refreshment and encouragement, usually held in September and May.
Grace Groups – Small groups that address the issues (past to present) that affect all of us on a daily basis.
Healing Hearts – A Care Ministry support group for women who have been or are currently abused physically, emotionally, spiritually, verbally, and/or sexually. Two hour group sessions available in afternoons and evenings.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) – Would you like to meet other mothers of preschoolers? Make frfriends? Have fun? Learn about mothering? At BVC, MOPS meets every other Tuesday morning during the school year from 9am until 11:05am. Moms with children from birth to Kindergarten share brunch, participate in either a craft or lecture, and join in small group discussions. Childcare is included inn the membership fee. www.mops.org
Women's Bible Study- Women at BVC are eager to study the Word of God, and we are pleased to announce that BVC will again offer a ladies Bible study on Wednesday mornings and evenings starting in the fall and continuing through the spring.
