Emergency Cancellations and Closings
In the event of severe weather conditions and warnings, church offices and events may be closed and cancelled. Tune in to WCSG 91.3 FM, WOOD 1300 AM, 105.7FM, WOOD TV Channel 8, or WZZM TV Channel 13 for reported cancellations. Closing of Rockford Public Schools DOES NOT necessarily mean that Wednesday evening events and activities are cancelled. Decisions to close or cancel will be made and broadcast prior to 4pm.

Missions Council: Vision & Objectives

Led by Missions Chair, Laura Cronin and currently composed of the following members: Suzi Bell, Chandy Colley, Heather DeGroot, Nancy Halberstadt, Connie Hernandez, Dave and Anne Nelson, Gary Quackenbush, Ruth Voth, Dale Dalman (staff rep.), Scott Salik (elder rep.).

Missions Vision

To bring the Gospel and develop committed followers of Jesus Christ to needful people groups around the world by mobilizing the congregation to support God's chosen missionaries and ministries and to be involved in impacting the world with the truth, grace, and power of God.

Missions Objectives

To support appropriate missionaries and ministries to needful target groups through prayer support, financial support, encouragement, periodic assessment, and practical care.
To mobilize the congregation to be involved in world evangelization by encouraging them to pray, give, send, and go themselves.
To facilitate the efficient functioning of this council.
To send missionaries abroad in team settings.
To develop and maintain a plan that will help prospective missionaries to prepare for the mission field. If you have futher questions contact Laura Cronin.
