Emergency Cancellations and Closings
In the event of severe weather conditions and warnings, church offices and events may be closed and cancelled. Tune in to WCSG 91.3 FM, WOOD 1300 AM, 105.7FM, WOOD TV Channel 8, or WZZM TV Channel 13 for reported cancellations. Closing of Rockford Public Schools DOES NOT necessarily mean that Wednesday evening events and activities are cancelled. Decisions to close or cancel will be made and broadcast prior to 4pm.

Student Ministries : High School

The number one fear found in teenagers is the fear of being alone. At BVC student ministries we want you to know that you are not alone, but that you belong. We want you to know first of all, you BELONG to God. Secondly, we want you to know that there is a community of teenagers and caring adults that care about you – a place where you belong. This fall, we encourage you to get involved with a community where you BELONG.

In our HSM (High School Ministry) students in grades 9th-12th come together for a diverse blend of activities and meaningful worship experiences. Driven by students and fueled by creativity and relevance, we focus on different issues that speak to the life of high school students.

Converge

Converge—unite, join, come together. That is exactly what we are going to do every Sunday @ 10:45am in the student center. But what are we coming together for? Simply put - worship. Every Sunday morning teenagers - both middle school & high school - are invited to “converge” for a time of worship, teaching, discussion, and food!

T.B.C.

Teen Bible Challenge is an opportunity for both middle school & high school students to memorize scripture using fun techniques in a team format. These students have the opportunity to memorize verses, compete with other churches, and make friendships that last a lifetime. In the fall TBC meets every Sunday morning at BVC at 9:00 in ROOM 22, and every Thursday night at the home of Les Johnson.

LARGE Group Mid-Week

LARGE “Mid-Week” gatherings (1st & 3rd Wednesday), through activities, times of worship, and creative teaching, teenagers will be challenged to surrender their life to Jesus and serve Him every day.

small Group Mid-Week

Meet at BVC Student Center on Wednesday nights. High school students can grow deep in their relationship with Jesus through small “Mid-Week” gatherings (2nd & 4th Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm). This is a chance for you to cultivate some really significant relationships with your peers as well as a devoted leader. We’d love to hook you up with a group!
