In the event of severe weather conditions and warnings, church offices and events may be closed and cancelled. Tune in to WCSG 91.3 FM, WOOD 1300 AM, 105.7FM, WOOD TV Channel 8, or WZZM TV Channel 13 for reported cancellations. Closing of Rockford Public Schools DOES NOT necessarily mean that Wednesday evening events and activities are cancelled. Decisions to close or cancel will be made and broadcast prior to 4pm.

Student Ministries : Middle School

Welcome to the Middle School ministry of Bella Vista Church. We love Middle school kids. We think they are some of the coolest people on the planet! (Shhh… Don’t tell the High School we said that.) There’s something amazing about being in Middle School. It can be exciting, fun, scary, crazy and uncomfortable. We know that it can be hard too. That’s why we do what we do, the way we do it! This website is a starting point into the Middle School ministry. It’s doesn’t have all the experiences the BVC community does together, but we’ve incorporated all our regularly scheduled activities.

The number one fear found in teenagers is the fear of being alone. At BVC student ministries we want you to know that you are not alone, but that you belong. We want you to know first of all, you BELONG to God. Secondly, we want you to know that there is a community of teenagers and caring adults that care about you – a place where you belong. We encourage you to get involved with a community where you BELONG.

CONVERGE

Converge—unite, join, come together. That is exactly what we are going to do every Sunday @ 10:45 in the student center. But what are we coming together for? Simply put - worship. Every Sunday morning teenagers - both middle school & high school - are invited to “converge” for a time of worship, teaching, discussion, and food!

T.B.C.

Teen Bible Challenge is an opportunity for both middle school & high school students to memorize scripture using fun techniques in a team format. Forming teams these students have the opportunities to participate in monthly Quiz competitions with other churches. Starting in the fall, TBC meets every Sunday morning at 9:00am in ROOM 22, and every Thursday night at the home of Les Johnson.

LARGE Group Mid-Week

At our Wednesday night LARGE “Mid-Week” gatherings (2nd & 4th Wednesday) teenagers will be challenged to know and grow in Jesus through a mixture of games, worship time, and creative & relevant teaching. We also meet in small groups as well with the worlds greatest youth workers! Mid-Week meets at Bella Vista Church Student Center during the school year.

small Group Mid-Week

At small “Mid-Week” gatherings (1st & 3rd Wednesday), teenagers will have the opportunity to connect with caring adult leaders and a small group of teenagers to discuss and challenge each other in their relationship with Jesus.
