Joyce Bolthouse - Administrative Assistant & Financial Clerk

Joyce has attended BVC since 1982. She has been married to Mike for 28 years and they have two daughters, Melanie and Heather. Joyce is a graduate of Davenport University and works as the Financial Clerk and administrative assistant. She also serves in the MOPS and Marriage Mentors ministries.

Rosemary Carlson - Biblical Discipler

Rosemary is married to Wendell Carlson. They have three married children and 6 grandchildren. Rosemary has been on the BVC staff since 1984. She enjoys reading, baking, and auto racing.

Rosemary has attended numerous training courses including “Freedom in Christ” and “Stephen Ministry Leadership Training” which have equipped her for her ministry as a biblical discipler of women at BVC.

Tim Cosby - Pastor of Worship and Arts

Tim has been married for 31 years to Diane and is father to Michele, Jeremy, Jason and Danielle and a grandpa to Elijah, Libby, Josiah, Selah, and Celeste. Tim spends most of his free time on the racquetball court.

Tim holds a MDiv from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Before coming to BVC Tim was Dean of Campus Ministries at Cornerstone University. Tim has been on staff at BVC since 1997 and currently serves in the areas of discipleship, teaching and worship arts.

Dale Dalman - Associate Pastor

Dale is happily married to Sheryl, whom he met at BVC, and they have three children, Ashley, Caleb and Erica. They served 15 years as church planters in Venezuela before returning to the States in 2002. Dale has degrees from Moody Bible Institute and Calvin Theological Seminary. Dale and Sheryl have been members of Bella Vista Church since its days in the “barn”. Dale enjoys baseball and cross-cultural experiences.

Mark Debowski - Lead Pastor

Mark serves Bella Vista Church as the staff leader, an elder, and the regular teacher in the Sunday morning worship services. Before coming to Bella Vista Church in August 2007, Mark served as a staff member in churches in Florida, Massachusetts, and Illinois as well as working as a civil engineer for five years. Mark is married to Kendra, his high school sweetheart, and they have one son, Thatcher. Mark is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Wheaton College. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, exploring the outdoors, reading, and playing board games.

Lisa Frick - Student Ministries Director

Lisa is native of Grand Haven Michigan and grew up in the Reformed church (RCA). She was educated at New York University, Grand Valley State University, and received her MDiv from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI. She was ordained in the RCA in 1990. She has served churches throughout Michigan, and has been on staff at BVC since August 2006 as Director of Student Ministries.

Lisa is married to Brian and they have six teenage children and one Yorkshire terrier. She pretty much lives on coffee and chocolate, and loves to read. She is a retired classical dancer and still teaches ballet one night a week. She loves her job, and all of the incredible young men and women she is privileged to serve.

Rhonda Harris - Coordinator of Next Steps & Women's Ministry

Rhonda is from Eastern Montana and attended St. Paul Bible College (Crown College). She holds a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Minot State University.

Rhonda is married to Mike and they have two children, Alex and Chelsea. They began attending BVC in ’97 and she has served on staff since 1998. Rhonda works with the Women’s ministry and the “Next Steps” assimilation program at the church.

Ron Hughey - Children's Pastor
Sue Hughey - Asst. Director of Children's Ministry

Ron and Sue Hughey both hold degrees from Michigan State University. Ron also has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University. Ron and Sue currently share leadership in Children’s Ministry at Bella Vista Church. Since they share this position Ron is also able to spend time as a substitute teacher in local schools and Sue is able to be an active and involved mom to their 5 children. In their spare time Ron enjoys playing around with his computer and Sue enjoys quilting.

Gary Raymond - Assimilation & Groups Pastor

Gary has been on the pastoral staff for nineteen years, serving in various capacities of ministry leadership and, currently, oversees the assimilation process for helping people to be welcomed into church life and providing avenues of enrichment through adult classes, small groups, and ministry participation. He also oversees the Care Community ministry working with Deacons who serve to address personal concerns and needs.

Gary has had 52 years of career experience in public high school education, private college education, and church ministry. He holds three degrees from Michigan State University, majoring in various fields of education. He has been married to Janice for 52 years, has three children and ten grand-children and resides in northeast Grand Rapids.

Linnetta (Netta) Williams - Data Processing Manager

Netta was raised in Northern Michigan is married with two grown children and one happy grandson. She works as the Data Processing Manager and oversees the computer systems. Netta has faithfully served as a volunteer in children's ministry for many years.

Jackie Wright - Administrative Assistant

Jackie Wright was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Married, with two grown children and two adorable grand daughters, Jackie has invested much of her time and energy in her family, home and friends and now works part-time as an administrative assistant at Bella Vista Church.
