How to Join a Small Group

Why do I need to be in a small group?

To learn and experience what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ in the context of loving, caring committed relationships. A small group is the best place for sustained life change and offers a strong connection to God and others. It becomes an invitation to worship God, live in community, serve others, train for life, and reach out to the world with the goodness of Jesus. Groups at BVC are vibrant expressions of Christ’s presence among us.

What types of groups are available?

  • Christian Basics – For those interested in developing a foundational understanding of the Christian life. Held on Sunday mornings during 1st service (9:00 a.m.).
  • Fellowship Dinners – Get acquainted groups meeting once a month for three or four months.
  • Young Couples/Young Families (20’s & 30’s) – Groups providing instruction, encouragement, and social activities in relationship to being in the life stage of newly married and starting families.
  • Topical/Bible Study Groups - Groups with a focus on Bible study and the application of truth to life.
  • Serving Groups – For those who want to connect with others serving in the same ministry area.
  • Home Groups – Groups intentionally pursuing the “one another” life of Christian community which includes worship, prayer, accountability, and responsible stewardship of gifts and resources for the sake of others.
